"A man has perished and his body has become earth; all his relatives have crumbled to dust. It is writing that makes him remembered." . . . a quote by an ancient Egyptian scribe, circa 2000 B.C. and illustrated in mixed media with calligraphy. This is so true. As a girl I remember buying second-hand leather bound poetry books and lingering over the inscriptions in the front covers. Wondering.. remembering well, at least giving them my thoughts, those people long long gone before us. It really made me want to write something down...I still do it...I have an urgent need not to be forgotten.
Hugs, Jane
